Goldhosts was started in 1997 under the name DewarTech by our founder Alex Dewar. In 2000 the company name changed to Goldhosts, to better reflect the main Website Hosting business.
Alex was joined in 2001 by Leigh Tanner (niece) and 2002 by Clive Knowles. The focus of the business changed to Website Development, as this provided the best customer experience for our hosting clients.
In 2003 Clive Knowles took over the day-to-day running of the business, after Alex Dewar sadly passed away. We also moved from Charing Heath to Challock.
In 2004 we moved again from Challock to Ashford.
In 2005 we moved to a new office in Ashford town centre.
In 2010 we moved to our current office in Godinton Road
Over the years Caroline Dewar and Melissa Swan (nee Dewar) have both worked in the business started by their Father.
Currently, the main day-to-day running of the business is handled by Clive and Vanessa Knowles. As such, Goldhosts is still a family run business operating from Godinton Road, Ashford. It has grown over the last 27 years, in to a friendly mature business giving good sound advice that suits each individual customers' needs.
